Catalog reference
Transferring personal data outside the EEA needs a valid transfer mechanism: an adequacy decision for the destination country, appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses, Binding Corporate Rules), or — only for occasional, non-repetitive transfers — one of the Art. 49 derogations (e.g. explicit consent, contract necessity). Decide this in only if your processing actually involves transferring personal data outside the EEA.
