Processing special-category data (health, biometric, genetic, racial/ethnic origin, political/religious/philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, sex life or orientation) is prohibited by default and needs one of the Art. 9(2) conditions (e.g. explicit consent, employment law, vital interests, substantial public interest). Criminal-offence data (Art. 10) needs official authority or specific member-state law. Decide this in only if you actually process such data.
